How to shape the figure when neither sport nor lifestyle modification helps

PRESS RELEASE, 13. December 2013

Regular exercise, natural movement and a healthy diet are very important for the appearance of the figure and the overall health of our body. However, many of us, even after strenuous exercise and even after following all the principles of a healthy lifestyle, do not manage to shape the figure as we would like. Despite our best efforts, we can’t get rid of fat in critical areas such as the belly, buttocks, hips and thighs, or do anything about the unattractive second chin, for example.

Modern aesthetic medicine offers several options that can effectively help in these cases. “There are several ways we can reduce the amount of fat in certain areas of the body for our clients. However, it should be noted that these methods are not intended for the treatment of obesity,” reminds MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, PhD. owner of the Bratislava Clinic Esthetic.

Equally, anyone who decides to reduce body fat should carefully consider who they put themselves in the hands of. Any intervention in the body belongs exclusively in the hands of an expert and experienced professional who can select and recommend the most optimal method for the client. Therefore, the Esthetic Clinic offers its clients several effective methods. “Although the risks of these procedures are minimal, I recommend that they be performed only at reputable workplaces that guarantee quality and safety,” adds MUDr. Novotna.

Depending on a number of factors such as the client’s age, general health, amount of body fat, their preferences, etc. it is possible to choose an invasive or non-invasive method. Thus, a method that requires or does not require surgical intervention.

Currently, the most effective non-invasive method for the removal of subcutaneous fat, which is performed by the Esthetic clinic, is cryolipolysis – freezing of fat cells. As MUDr. Novotná says: “It is a process of controlled freezing of fat cells, whereby through the intensive action of cold on a specific problem part of the body we can remove excessive fat. As a result of the cold, the contents of the fat cell crystallize, causing the cell to die and the lymphatic system to remove it from the body.” Another possible method is SMARTLIPO laser liposuction. This is the latest concept in body contouring using a laser beam. It is the least invasive liposuction technique that can remove excess subcutaneous fat in all areas. Excess body fat can also be removed by water-jet liposuction, i.e. the Extra WAL method. This method of liposuction was developed because of the desire to make the procedure as gentle as possible so that the tissue is damaged as little as possible and the recovery time is as short as possible. Using a body-jet device, fluid is injected directly into the problem areas under pressure through a cannula. The high pressure of the fluid dissolves the unwanted fat. Because adult fat cells do not have the ability to reproduce (divide, multiply), these procedures have a lasting effect.

The method that requires surgical intervention and subsequent recovery is classic liposuction, i.e. surgical liposuction. “We most commonly perform liposuction of the face and chin, lower abdomen, outer or inner thigh areas, knees, etc. Sometimes it is necessary to perform the procedure under general anaesthesia, depending on the amount of fat being suctioned. The operation allows the suctioning of fat and simultaneous shaping of the suctioned area,” explains MUDr. Novotná from the Esthetic Clinic.

Even if the methods mentioned are very effective, it does not mean that one will never gain weight again. “In order for the liposuction effect to be lasting, it is necessary for the client to have good eating habits and to do regular sports or at least natural exercise. In the case of high energy intake and low energy expenditure, fat will be deposited in other, non-deprived, areas of the body,” warns MUDr. Novotna.

For all those who, despite their efforts, are unable to get rid of excess fat in certain parts of the body, the Aesthetic Clinic has prepared a Christmas competition. Anyone who attends the Aesthetic Clinic from 9. 12. 2013 to 10. 1. 2014 any treatment or procedure, will be entered into a drawing for a free LipoCryo procedure, a non-invasive removal of body fat by freezing fat cells.

Well-known doctor Alexandra Novotná publishes another book about beauty

PRESS RELEASE, 13. November 2013

After the success of the book Beauty Has No Age, the well-known Slovak doctor, dermatologist Alexandra Novotná is publishing its second sequel.

The book Beauty Has No Age 2 was christened with spring water on Tuesday 12. Erika Judínyová and Štefan Skrúcaný at the Urban Space café in Bratislava’s SNP Square. The baptism was attended by friends, acquaintances and other personal guests of Dr. Novotná, including Marcella Molnárová, the wife of Boris Filan, actress Ingrid Filanová, the Chief Hygienist of the Slovak Republic Ivan Rovný, poet Ľuboš Zeman, the wife of the Slovak Ambassador in Prague Jana Weissová and even Mikuláš Dzurinda and Milan Kňažko.

They enjoyed, among other things, vegetarian and gluten-free delicacies from the protected café Zrnko and if you think they were toasting with champagne, you are mistaken. The welcome drink at this unusual baptism was homemade iced tea.

The impulse to publish the sequel to the successful book was, according to Dr Novotná, also the fact that her first book attracted not only the general public, but also professionals working in the world of beauty and health: “I was extremely pleased with its success. I found that the book was also used by professional beauticians for teaching, as there was no comprehensive literature in this area.”

The new 215-page work is published six years apart. In that time, much has changed in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. The book is full of new methods and insights. Today, the beauty world is dominated by safety and risk reduction, non-invasiveness, but the most magical word is – naturalness. “All congresses on aesthetic medicine today are about naturalness, and all those who reach for the handle on the front door of our Aesthetic Clinic are also longing for naturalness. Naturalness is a goal that I have repeated to the doctors I have trained over the years, and there have been dozens of them,” adds Dr Novotná.

In addition to Alexandra Novotna, other experts from the medical environment also contributed to the publication. Her clients are not only well-known personalities such as Adriana Kmotríková, Marcella Molnárová, Erika Judínyová or Štefan Skrúcaný, but also ordinary people with problems that each of us has. “I have met abused women who, despite everything, managed not to lose their strength and hope, got back on their feet and walked on with their heads held high through life. Such as thirty-year-old Janka. Her husband abused her, beat her, insulted her, broke her nose eight times with a stick. It was so bad that even plastic surgery didn’t help. We spent a lot of time before we managed to get it at least somewhat adjusted. She didn’t give up. She is raising two children, studying, and is involved in helping abused women. Her strength and inner serenity are something I never cease to admire,” says Dr Novotná about one of the fates she encounters in her practice, which can also be found in her new publication.

Based on true stories, the book reveals to readers many interesting facts from the field of plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. For example, you will learn about the principles to be followed during breast augmentation, for whom the modification of a woman’s assets is suitable and how to choose the right size of implants. The author does not omit the topic of possible risks in the treatment of sagging skin on the face or a detailed procedure for hair transplantation.

The book is available in the online bookstore ipark.sk.

Smoothing wrinkles: aesthetic medicine helps women and men fulfil their dreams of eternal youth

PRESS RELEASE, 15. January 2014

The desire for beauty and eternal youth has accompanied mankind since time immemorial. In recent years, we can even speak of a kind of cult of youth. Everyone, regardless of whether it is a woman or a man, wants to look young, fresh and healthy. We want to delay the appearance of wrinkles, the most visible signs of ageing, as much as possible and once we have them, we want to get rid of them, preferably permanently.

Aesthetic medicine is one of the fastest growing medical fields. New types of lasers, medical procedures, as well as nutritional supplements and medicines within the so-called. antiaging medicine, help us today to get a little closer to the dream of eternal youth.

However, no one has yet invented a cure or method that would be equally effective for all. Even a woman in her 40s with a good genetic make-up and a good lifestyle can have smoother skin than a 25-year-old woman who may be showing signs of premature ageing due to an unhealthy lifestyle. “Something different suits everyone, each skin type requires individual care. In our clinic, we will recommend the method that is most suitable for the client and most ideal for his/her skin, after consultation with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. To achieve a better effect, we often combine several methods at the same time,” says MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, owner of Clinic Esthetic.

Perhaps the most well-known non-invasive method for smoothing wrinkles is the application of botulinum toxin. The substance is injected with a fine needle into the muscles or subcutaneous tissue in the area to be treated, most commonly on the face and neck. The effect is based on blocking the movement of the muscles, thus preventing the formation of mimic wrinkles. Botulinum toxin can be combined with filler materials – such as hyaluronic acid – to prolong the smoothing effect. The simultaneous use of pulsed light and the Nd: Yag laser is also very effective, which in aesthetic dermatology is called outpatient facelift. Hyaluronic acid is also used in mesolift and revolift methods, where it is injected into the skin along with a cocktail of vitamins, sometimes with procaine, selenium and other substances. The method is suitable for improving the texture of the skin, which resembles a shrunken apple, is dry, dehydrated and wrinkled.

“For the first wrinkles and also for grey, sagging skin as if lifeless, it is advisable to use a combination of pulsed light, radiofrequency and the so-called therapy. LED lamp, which has excellent therapeutic effects on acne and to improve skin tone. In the case of such a combination, if we affect several layers in the skin, we talk about the 3D photorejuvenation method,” explains MUDr. Novotna. An alternative to surgery, associated with anaesthesia and subsequent recovery, is also skin smoothing using ultrasound, i.e. the Ulthera method.

A novelty in aesthetic dermatology is skin rejuvenation with the skin’s own cells. The cells’ own young forms reshape the worn-out skin tissue, restore its elasticity and rejuvenate it. Since they are cells that are inherent to the body, they have no problem to take hold and start growing very quickly. This regenerates and renews it. One of the forms of rejuvenation by own cells is the so-called. Dracula therapy, or treatment with enriched blood plasma. The antiaging effect of platelets-enriched plasma has been known in medicine for decades and has been used to regenerate tissue and improve healing.

In some cases, it is also possible to smooth wrinkles with your own fat. So-called. Lipofilling is a simple outpatient procedure without the need for hospitalization. It uses the body’s own fat, taken with a fine cannula, which is injected into various locations on the face and body. The procedure can also be combined with liposuction, in which, in addition to getting rid of excess subcutaneous fat and shaping the figure, the patient’s own fat is used as an implant. “What the dermatologist is short on, he should leave to an experienced plastic surgeon,” warns Dr. Novotná, adding: “With obvious sagging and drooping skin on the cheeks or eyelids, there is no point in convincing the patient of the high efficacy of rejuvenating creams or the effect of photorejuvenation, which can only be complementary methods. Modern surgery can now be performed under local anaesthesia and often does not require hospitalisation. For example, in a thread lift, the surgeon doesn’t use a scalpel at all.”
Ageing is a natural process that none of us can avoid. Today’s modern medicine, however, can minimize its manifestations on the skin and lend it a more youthful appearance for a longer period of time. However, in order for the skin to look really young and, above all, natural after the rejuvenation procedure, it is necessary to undergo it in a reputable clinic and to entrust it only to experienced professionals.

Botulinum toxin in dermatology- miracle cure or poison?

The question of the safety of botulinum toxin injections tends to be the first one I get from clients before a procedure. I always answer that in medicine, any medicine can be a poison, it just depends on the amount of the substance we inject into the body. Botulinum toxin is no exception.

I applied it for the first time on a Slovak client in 2002 and it has been used worldwide for more than 20 years. Specialists from our Clinic Esthetic have been working with it the longest in the country and based on personal experience I can say that the application of botulinum toxin is a safe, effective and proven method for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles. In aesthetic medicine, its introduction was literally a revolution, although it was first used by Dr. Scott, an ophthalmologist, for the treatment of strabismus (squinting). There are several types of this toxin, which has found application in many medical fields. In our clinic we work with botulinum toxin type A (BTX – A), whose effects are the best studied.

As I mentioned before, it mainly helps our clients to remove facial wrinkles, but we also use it to correct excessive sweating on the face, palms or soles of the feet. Based on the very positive results, we are gradually expanding the original indications and using it also for the treatment of wrinkles above the upper lip and on the neck. We can even lift the tip of a fallen nose without surgery, or remove the so-called. Gummy smile, which afflicts women whose upper gum is visible when they smile. Very good results of botulinum toxin application are achieved by combining it with the use of implants – filler materials in the area of the lips, nasolabial folds, or frown lines between the eyebrows. Most often we use absorbable implants, e.g. hyaluronic acid, where the effect persists for approximately 9 months.

Botulinum toxin injection is an ideal solution for those who are troubled by wrinkles but do not want to undergo a surgical facelift. Many clients tell me after the procedure that they get compliments from friends that they look better, fresher, more youthful, but they can’t recognize what it is. Naturalness comes first with us. We strictly ensure that botulinum toxin injections are administered only by experienced professionals who can perfectly assess where the substance needs to be injected and in what quantity. It is unacceptable for us to create Donald Duck-like lips on a client. Unfortunately, we also see such in photos of celebrities who probably did not care about the quality and experience of the staff when choosing a workplace.

The procedure itself is not painful, which is why we use anesthesia. The substance is injected into the skin with a very fine needle, and its action causes the relaxation of the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in a short period of time. Botulinum toxin also temporarily immobilizes the muscles and thus prevents the formation of further lines. The procedure needs to be repeated over time to make the final effect more permanent. Highly effective and minimally painful is also the combination of botulinum toxin with intense pulsed light, complemented by Nd: Yag laser treatment, lazily called ambulatory facelift.
So if you are wondering whether botulinum toxin is a yes or no, my advice is yes. But only in a reputable clinic that uses quality material and consistently pays attention to the expertise of its staff.

American bestseller Clarisonic at the Esthetic clinic in Bratislava!

The Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System, which has been the life of America for several months, is finally available in Slovakia.

The Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System is manufactured by Pacific Bioscience Labs, a company that recently became part of the world-renowned cosmetics giant L’Oréal. As an expert guarantor for the presentation of this device in Slovakia, the company has chosen an expert in aesthetic medicine and skin care, dermatologistMUDr. Alexandra Novotná, PhD, owner of the Clinic Esthetic.

“Our clinic is sought after by clients who have long-standing dermatological and acne problems, as we achieve very good results in treating acne. One of the reasons for this is that we have state-of-the-art equipment and methods at our disposal to help them. I am glad that we are the first in Slovakia to be able to offer our clients something more, this unique device for skin cleansing,” says MUDr. Novotna.

Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System is a series of skin cleansing devices. They come in several categories, with the Clarisonic PRO category being exclusively for use in the hands of professional skin care professionals in clinics and dermatology centres. “The basis of nice skin is its regular and high-quality cleansing. However, it is not always possible to cleanse the skin perfectly at home so as to remove impurities from even the deepest pores without irritating the skin. Therefore, it should be a matter of course that we have our skin professionally cleansed by experts several times a year,” explains MUDr. Novotná, PhD.

The figure shows the difference in the quality of skin cleansing with the Clarisonic device and conventional home cleansing.

The device was developed by a team of engineers and scientists in Seattle, Washington. It combines patented technology with revolutionary vision to bring a new approach to skin care. What makes the Clarisonic device unique is its sonic micro-massage technology. With 300 micro movements per second, the sonic brush cleanses the skin up to six times better than conventional cleansing by hand or with a cotton pad. After using the device, the skin is perfectly clean and, thanks to the action of the fine hairs in the brush, fresh and smooth without any irritation or dryness. The device can also be used on areas outside the face, on areas where there is thickened skin – elbows, knees, shoulders, thighs, etc.

The result of the Clarisonic PRO treatment is:

  • softer skin
  • in-depth dirt removal
  • less visible pores
  • no dry and reddened areas
  • better absorption of skin products

The use of the Clarisonic PRO is absolutely safe, it does not damage the elasticity of the skin, does not cause excessive sebum production, and does not irritate the skin.

I saw my colleagues on the stage without their heads, says Ľubomír Paulovič. Prečo šiel na plastiku?

Ľubomír Paulovič, a member of the Slovak National Theatre, ended up in the operating theatre a few days ago. He didn’t follow in the footsteps of some Slovak models, who are “beautifying” themselves from the melting pot. He had a quite prosaic reason for it. “It was out of necessity – for the sake of better vision. My upper eyelids were already covering more than half of my eyes. More and more I had to lift them with my eyebrow muscles to reach the entire visor. My forehead, eyes and sometimes even my head often hurt in the evening,” she tells PLUS 7 DAYS.
However, he has also been experiencing problems on the theatre stage for quite some time. “Now and then I’ve seen my partners on stage just from the chest down, as if I’m wearing a cap with a shield made of my own skin,” he smiles.

Fear and Little Sister Betka
He inherited his eyelids, as the artist calls them, from his grandparents and mother. However, as the years went by, his “formation” grew larger. Eyelid surgery was an acute solution. Paulovic makes no secret that he didn’t care before the intervention. “I’m not going to be macho. Of course I was scared, even though I’ve had four surgeries or scalpel appointments, and they were a bit more serious… Now I was relatively calm also thanks to the knowledge that I was under the scalpel in the hands of a great plastic surgeon Katka Simonova,” he explains. He wasn’t afraid of her misconduct, but of the post-operative pain. His fears left him immediately after the three-quarter-hour procedure, when he was escorted to the rest rooms by “the nice ladies in white.”
“I spent the whole night there under the supervision of nurse Betka and in the morning I drove home by car,” he says happily. In addition to this procedure, the actor also had some skin growths and lentigines removed, which was recommended by his dermatologist as a prevention of skin cancer.

Skin treatment with Restylane products is even more comfortable at the Esthetic Clinic

The Esthetic Clinic has responded to the growing demands of clients for comfort and, in line with the latest global trends, has provided them with the latest Restylane Skinboosters from Galderma for injectable skin treatment with Restylane products.

The syringes feature the new SmartClick™ dispensing system, which was introduced on 12. of the AMWC World Congress of Anti-Aging Medicine in Monaco 3. – 5. April 2014. Doctors from the Esthetic Clinic of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine from Slovakia also participated in the congress.
Aesthetic medicine is constantly changing and evolving. Globally, demand for injectable treatment is increasing. “In our clinic, we are also experiencing an increased interest in facial modifications that are not large-scale and are not done to change the appearance. On the contrary, it’s the small interventions that make the face naturally pretty. They are almost unnoticeable to the surroundings, but they are very important for the client’s self-esteem and well-being,” explains the owner of the Esthetic Clinic, MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, PhD..

As demand grows, clinicians are demanding instruments that offer greater safety, precision and comfort in handling. The manufacturer of these syringes has therefore sought to ensure that all their requirements are rigorously met and the new syringe has been subjected to extensive testing and consultation among experts before being introduced into practice. Dr. Novotná was the only one from Slovakia in the international group of selected doctors. “The new syringes for the application of filling materials meet our exact requirements thanks to improved ergonomics. They increase the comfort of application for both the practitioner and the client as they have a unique built-in dosage controller. This allows the doctor to concentrate on the technique of application and does not need to monitor the dosage. The syringe adjusts the dosage itself with microdrop accuracy,” explains Dr Novotná.

Skin treatments using Restylane Skinboosters have long-lasting beneficial effects on the skin. Hyaluronic acid in Restylane products improves its elasticity, overall hydration, firmness, reduces roughness, removes fine lines and also imperfections caused by acne. Restylane products are among the most popular with clients and are celebrating 20 million successful applications these days.

Hairs and tattoos, a problem that can be eliminated

Tattoo – how to get rid of it?
The dermatologist MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, PhD. “It’s a fairly common procedure, although unlike in Western countries where tattooing is more of an ‘out’ procedure, the tattoo era still persists here,” he points out. “It is an outpatient procedure, it is done with a very high quality laser and needs to be repeated two or three times. It depends on the intensity and colour of the tattoo,” says Novotná. “The laser pulses reach the tattoo pigment through the upper part of the skin, then it is shot and the pigment is then absorbed and expelled from the body through defence mechanisms and lymph,” explains the expert.

Does it hurt?
The procedure is minimally painful, no more so than the tattoo itself.

What can be removed?
Permanent eye makeup.

Get rid of hair by summer!
Before you hit the water, get your body ready for your swimsuit. Now is the time. If the skin is not yet tanned, dark hairs can easily be removed with a laser. The procedure is not painful. “The laser light seeks out the hair bulb, so the hair must be dark. Pale laser doesn’t catch. Hairs that are in the growth phase are removed and the removal is permanent. But to achieve this effect, the laser must seek out hairs that are in the germ cell multiplication phase. The number of such cases is approximately 30 percent, therefore the procedure needs to be repeated three or four times,” explains dermatologist MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, PhD..

Can you make it through the year?
It is because of the necessary repeat procedure that some clients postpone the procedure to the autumn or winter months. However, you can also start now, you will have two more sessions before the summer, and then you will have another treatment after the summer. The spacing of such interventions is individual, depending on what part of the body is involved. “It’s about four weeks for the face, eight weeks for the body and twelve weeks for the legs,” says Dr Novotná.

Oh the wrinkles… Prečo ich máme a vieme sa ich vôbec zbaviť?

Aging is a natural process that is unfortunately most visible on our skin. Ageing skin gradually weakens and falls, causing wrinkles, lines and furrows to form. The severity of these changes depends on genetic disposition, skin phototype and environmental factors.

In dermatology and aesthetic medicine, several degrees of “wrinkled” skin are distinguished:

Moderate degree – there are only a few wrinkles on the skin, which hardly need any make-up coverage at all.
Medium – the skin is pale to grey, contains premature lines and wrinkles, the correction of which requires a little make-up.
Advanced stage – the skin already has permanent wrinkles, the skin colour is grey with enlarged coils, pores and sun spots, the skin requires intensive make-up coverage.
Severe degree – means already the existence of deep wrinkles and furrows, a number of dilated blood vessels and pigmentations that can not be completely covered with make-up.

How are wrinkles formed?
The following factors are involved in the formation of wrinkles:

  • biological ageing
  • direct sunlight
  • movements of mimic muscles
  • Gravity
  • Injuries
  • surgical procedures
  • acne
  • other skin diseases with a tendency to scar (e.g. lupus)
  • smoking

Fine lines
Fine lines and wrinkles occur due to irregular thickening of the dermis and due to a decrease in the amount of water in the epidermis. Skin dehydration is mainly caused by direct exposure to sunlight, various environmental toxins and smoking.

Gates
Deeper lines or grooves are classified as dynamic or static. Dynamic lines appear during movement, i.e. at the time of facial muscle activity. Dynamic lines gradually turn into static lines and become visible on the skin even when the facial muscles are not moving. This is how, for example, the fan lines around the eyes are formed, which are caused by smiling and the activity of the eye muscles. Also, wrinkles on the forehead are the result of contraction of the forehead muscle and lifting of the eyebrows. The lines of anger between the eyebrows are again caused when we frown or are often thoughtful. Dynamic wrinkles often form around the lips as well.

As the skin ages, it loses its elasticity and elasticity and gradually decreases due to gravity. The skin is weakened by the reduction of fat cells in the subcutaneous tissue, loss of collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis with age.

The result:

  • Eyebrow ptosis (the forehead moves lower so that the eyebrows drop over the eyelids).
  • Eyelid ptosis (the upper eyelid droops over the eye, in some cases to the point of limiting vision).
  • Bagginess of the upper and lower eyelid.
  • Drooping lower eyelids, revealing reddened mucous membrane under the eye.
  • The lobes around the jaw.
  • Under the chin.
  • Stretched earlobes.
  • The tip of the nose falls off.
  • Upper lip sag.

What wrinkle treatments are available?

Today, modern medicine can ensure youthful-looking skin for much longer than age dictates. There are a number of creams, methods, treatments and surgical procedures that are really effective, but in many cases they need to be combined, repeated or used regularly. The cheapest and most effective way to protect your skin from premature ageing is to protect it from direct sunlight and avoid smoking, which includes passive smoking, i.e. being in a smoky area.

Another must is regular hydration. High-quality cosmetic products with a moisturising effect will improve the skin’s ability to retain water. It is necessary to choose those that do not cause allergies, do not irritate the skin, do not burn or cause acne after application.

Resurfacing is another effective tool that involves various techniques in which the upper layer of the epidermis is abraded using chemical or mechanical means. Its gradual exfoliation evens out pigmentation and improves skin texture. Helps remove fine lines and alleviate static furrows. These include superficial and medium depth chemical peels, dermabrasion and microdermabrasion, Neodymium : YAG laser, CO2 laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light and also hyaluronic acid implantation. “The clients who come to us are most concerned about wrinkles around the mouth, eyes and forehead. For dynamic lines, the application of botulinum toxin is the ideal solution. The toxin will cause paralysis of the muscles responsible for frown lines, crow’s feet around the eyes, and forehead wrinkles. We can also change the shape of the eyebrows and remove wrinkles around the lips,” says MUDr. Alexandra Novotná, owner of Clinic Esthetic.

Plastic surgery helps in cases where a greater volume of facial tissue needs to be reshaped and the structure of flabby muscles needs to be altered. A facelift, i.e. a total facelift or mid-face lift, removes excess skin and tightens the underlying muscles of the lower two-thirds of the face (face and neck). It can also flatten the skin on the forehead, lift the eyebrows, correct sagging eyelids, lift the droopy tip of the nose, remove excess skin and fat pads from the eyelids, and improve the appearance of a sagging neck.
