I built my clinic on it more than twenty years ago and it still holds true today. Health is the most important individual asset and beauty has been a magical quantity since time immemorial. To fulfill an ideal of beauty that no one has ever defined precisely, people have been willing to do anything. They scarred their faces, painted themselves, pierced parts of their bodies, stuffed their clothes to hide deformities of the figure. “Cura dabit faciem” – “Only care makes the face pretty” – do you think this saying is contemporary? No, it was written long ago by Ovid. However philosophically unfair it may be, the world belongs to the beautiful. They have various advantages. So why not take advantage of it? Aesthetic medicine is advancing by leaps and bounds. We can transplant hair, remove wrinkles, restore volume to a sunken face with hyaluronic acid, enlarge or shrink breasts, suction out fat, or simply freeze it. We can use the rest of it to fill in facial or breast volume. Aesthetic medicine options are ever expanding, and dermatologists, along with plastic surgeons, can make their clients’ dreams come true. A positive change in appearance generates interest in those around us, and our clients receive positive feedback from friends, co-workers, or family. And suddenly they feel better, they smile more, and the world starts smiling at them. Is there anything more beautiful than putting a smile on someone’s face and boosting their self-esteem? History

It was in the building on Partizánská Street, where our Esthetic Plastic Surgery Clinic is located, that Professor Demjén began to write the history of Slovak plastic surgery in 1950. It was in the operating theatre, which we also use, which has been modernised. Our famous cosmetic formula by Dr. Sandra, which was also once used by Professor Demjén’s operating and medical team for burns, also dates back to this time. This formula, which was created behind the walls of our hospital, is also precious to us because every dermatologist likes cosmetics to contain as few components as possible. Every herb or plant can also turn into an allergen and cause problems. By the fact that cosmetics from the hands of Dr. Sandra contain as few of these substances as possible, it becomes a great advantage in the world of dermatology, but also of the clients. After all, the skin is the largest organ of our body and has to process all the toxic substances of today’s world. So why not give the skin the best!
