Botulinum Toxin
How long will the effect last?
The effects of the first botulinum toxin treatment last an average of 3 months. However, according to statistical data and our own experience, the duration of the effects may gradually increase with repeated treatments. Most clients therefore undergo repeat treatments approximately twice a year, and later often only once a year. In some cases, the effect may be even longer-lasting as the client gradually loses the habit of making certain facial expressions.
Reducing Sweating – How Long Do the Effects of Botox Last When Injected into the Armpits or Palms?
The average duration of the effect depends on the amount of the substance administered. When 400 units are administered in a single session, the effect lasts, on average, approximately 9 months.
Why is the price of the application higher than in a beauty salon?
Our clinic employs experienced specialists who have been administering botulinum toxin since its introduction to the Slovak market. Our doctors regularly attend professional training sessions and conferences and use certified materials from trusted manufacturers. The health and safety of our clients are always our top priority.
Thread lifting
Who is the thread lift intended for?
A thread lift is intended for both women and men who notice sagging skin, particularly in the lower part of the face, along the jawline, or in the upper neck. It is a minimally invasive procedure designed to achieve a lifting effect and firm up the treated areas.
Does a thread lift hurt?
The procedure itself is not extremely painful, but it may be accompanied by some discomfort when the lifting thread is inserted using a cannula. We enhance the patient’s comfort with appropriate premedication before the procedure.
Mesotherapy
Is mesotherapy a painful procedure?
Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure in which active ingredients—such as peptides, vitamins, and hyaluronic acid—are injected into the skin using a fine needle. Before the procedure, an anesthetic cream is applied to the skin, which significantly reduces any discomfort. It is therefore advisable to arrive about 15 minutes early for your appointment.
Intimate Plastic Surgery
I’m afraid of the procedure. How is a labiaplasty performed?
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure most commonly performed to adjust the size of the labia minora. Healing takes an average of 7 to 10 days, and swelling may persist during this time. It is important to practice good hygiene and, as recommended by your doctor, clean the genital area with an antiseptic solution.
Will the procedure be done discreetly?
Yes. At our clinic, the procedure is performed by a plastic surgeon. Upon arrival at the clinic, you will be escorted to a private room where you will prepare for the procedure. A few hours after the surgery, you may leave the clinic discreetly. We ensure maximum privacy, discretion, and an empathetic approach.
Hyaluronic acid
Will I have bruises after the procedure?
A small bruise may occur with any injection, whether it involves botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid. This possibility cannot be completely ruled out. If a bruise does occur, we will advise you on how to help it heal more quickly.
What factors determine the cost of hyaluronic acid treatment?
The price depends on the specific material used and the amount of it. For a single procedure, approximately 1 to 5 ml of material is typically used, depending on the type of treatment and the desired result.
Lip Augmentation – Will I end up with overly large “duck-like” lips after the procedure?
The result depends primarily on the correct technique and the appropriate amount of material used. Our clinic is staffed by experienced specialists who strive to achieve a natural and aesthetically pleasing result. Your doctor will recommend the appropriate amount of material to ensure that your lips look harmonious and complement your facial features.
Laser Treatments
What are lasers used for?
At our clinic, we use various types of laser technologies depending on the specific problem. For example, we use laser treatments to remove spider veins, pigmentation, unwanted hair, wrinkles, acne, or stretch marks. Each type of laser has its own specific application and targets a specific skin structure.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
At our clinic, we use state-of-the-art technology that makes laser hair removal virtually painless and well-tolerated by most clients.
Laser Treatment for Acne Scars—How Long Will I Be Out of My Normal Routine?
The duration of healing depends on the depth of the laser treatment. Recovery typically takes about 3 to a maximum of 7 days.
Facial pigmentation—will I be able to go to work after it’s removed?
Yes. After laser treatment, the pigmented areas may temporarily darken slightly, but they can usually be covered with makeup. In most cases, therefore, you can continue with your normal work routine.
Eyelid surgery
Won’t the surgery change the shape of my eyes?
An experienced plastic surgeon makes the incision in such a way as to preserve the most natural and authentic appearance of the eyes. The goal of the procedure is to remove excess skin while respecting the natural proportions of the face.
Hair Loss
My hair started falling out. What should I do?
The first step is a trichological examination, during which we use a camera to identify the cause of hair loss in greater detail. Based on the results, we can then recommend an appropriate treatment, such as plasma therapy, mesotherapy, stem cell therapy, or a hair transplant.
Weight Loss with Semaglutide
What is semaglutide and how does it work?
Semaglutide is an active ingredient used to regulate body weight in appropriately indicated patients. It mimics the action of the hormone GLP-1 and helps regulate food intake by reducing hunger, promoting a feeling of fullness, and improving control over eating.
What medications are used to treat obesity and promote weight loss?
Several modern medications are used for weight loss; they affect appetite, the feeling of fullness, or metabolism. These include, for example, Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Saxenda (liraglutide), Ozempic (semaglutide), Wegovy (semaglutide), Mysimba (naltrexone + bupropion), and Orlistat (Xenical). A doctor always decides on the appropriateness of a specific treatment after consultation and an evaluation of the patient’s health.
Who is a good candidate for semaglutide treatment?
This treatment may be appropriate for patients who are overweight or obese, who have long struggled with weight loss, who have repeatedly experienced the yo-yo effect, or who wish to reduce the health risks associated with being overweight. The suitability of the treatment is always assessed on a case-by-case basis following a medical consultation.
What results can be expected?
Treatment with semaglutide may result in significant weight loss. The effect develops gradually and depends on the patient’s individual response, treatment settings, and adherence to lifestyle measures.
How is the treatment?
Treatment involves a subcutaneous injection once a week using a pre-filled pen. The dose is increased gradually based on tolerance. At the Esthetic Clinic, we emphasize the initial evaluation, patient education, proper dosage adjustment, monitoring of treatment tolerance, and regular follow-up to track results.
What side effects may occur?
At the start of treatment, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, a feeling of fullness, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation may occur. These symptoms are often temporary. Drinking plenty of fluids, eating smaller portions, eating more slowly, and limiting very fatty, fried, or spicy foods can help.
Is treatment just about losing weight?
No. Obesity is not just an aesthetic problem, but a medical condition associated with several health risks. The goal of treatment, therefore, is not just to achieve a lower number on the scale, but also to improve metabolic health, lifestyle, and the long-term sustainability of the results.
Can aesthetic changes to the face and body be addressed after weight loss?
Yes. Significant weight loss can lead to a loss of facial volume, more pronounced facial contours, or sagging of the skin and soft tissues. At the Esthetic Clinic, we can create a personalized aesthetic plan focused on improving skin quality, firming tissues, and harmonizing the face and body.
Why undergo treatment at Esthetic?
At the Esthetic Clinic, we combine medical expertise, a personalized approach, and safe treatment protocols. We offer our patients comprehensive care ranging from weight loss to addressing aesthetic changes in the skin and tissues following weight loss.
Is Wegovy suitable for everyone?
No. The doctor decides whether treatment is appropriate after a consultation, taking the patient’s medical history, and evaluating the patient’s health.
How quickly will I see results?
Weight loss occurs gradually. The treatment is designed to be well-tolerated, safe, and sustainable over the long term.
Do I need to make lifestyle changes as part of my treatment?
Yes. The best results are achieved in combination with appropriate lifestyle measures, dietary adjustments, and an overall change in lifestyle.
What if nausea occurs?
Digestive problems may occur at the start of treatment. They are usually temporary and can be alleviated by adjusting your diet and fluid intake and gradually increasing the dose as recommended by your doctor.
Is it possible to address sagging skin or loss of facial volume after losing weight?
Yes. At the Esthetic Clinic, we can develop a personalized aesthetic plan focused on improving skin quality, firming tissues, and restoring harmonious facial proportions after weight loss.
