Cryotherapy is a physical method of treatment in dermatology that involves using cold for therapeutic purposes.Liquid nitrogen, which has a temperature of -195.8 °C, is used in cryotherapy. It is applied to the skin in the treated area using a cotton swab.
Cold destruction is mainly used for treating viral warts, but it can also be used for other types of skin lesions such as senile warts or certain types of hyperpigmentation. Cryotherapy-induced desquamation, or peeling, is employed for certain types of skin conditions on the face as well as for rejuvenation purposes. Cold stimulation can be utilized for certain types of alopecia.
Application
