REMOVAL OF THE DOUBLE CHIN

BASIC DESCRIPTION

PROCEDURE

Manual liposuction under local anesthesia performed by special thin cannulas with a small caliber. In case of a small amount of left over fat after the liposuction, we can use laser method which dissolves fat in the treated area.

DURATION

The procedure takes about an hour and the effect is permanent. However, normal eating habits are necessary for liposuction of the chin or body. In case of high energy intake and low energy output the fat will settle in other areas on the body which creates unwanted aesthetic effect.

POST-OPERATION

2 – 3 weeks after the operation the patient wears compress dressing. Painfulness after the operation is minimal. If we find out during the consultation that the patient has accumulated fat underneath the muscles (not in subcutaneous), we make a small incision under the chin and remove the fat.
