I’M FINALLY GOING TO STOP AGING

Both Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham swear by it and I’m not surprised! My skin literally blossomed after just one treatment. The revolutionary Forever Young rejuvenation treatment from Sciton, USA, is revolutionizing aesthetic medicine and you can now experience it at the Aesthetic Medicine Clinic at Esthetic.

As an editor-in-chief, I have one “work deviation” – I follow all the beauty and anti-aging news. And when I read that there was a device that, according to a Stanford University study, can “turn back the biological clock” of the skin – that is, alter cellular processes and repair DNA, I knew I had to try it. The procedure is aptly named Forever Young and its fans include celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian and American “longevity guru” Brian Johnson.

I was impatiently waiting for this new wine to come to us, to Bratislava. And I have waited. It was brought to the capital by renowned dermatologist Alexandra Novotná Rozborilová, MD, PhD, founder of the Esthetic Clinic. “Both BBL and Moxi are among the treatments that not only instantly brighten the skin, but are proven to work at the cellular level. With regular treatments, we can slow down skin aging and keep it healthy for the long term,” explains Dr Rozborilová. Dr. Paul Nassif, a world-renowned plastic surgeon from Los Angeles, known from the TV show Botched, adds his experience: “Sciton technologies, especially BBL and Moxi, are my first choice for patients who want to visibly rejuvenate their skin without surgery. They are delivering results we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago.”

It is suitable as a preventive measure for younger years, but also for patients after a surgical lift to maintain the effect of the procedure. I admit, I was slightly apprehensive – after all, the word laser carries respect. However, the entire procedure was completely painless.

The medical team first exfoliated my skin, applied a cooling gel and put on protective goggles. Then came the BBL light flashes and the gentle passes of the Moxi laser. All I felt was a faint warm pinch that I would liken to the touch of a sunbeam. The whole thing lasted about 30 minutes – and it was virtually painless, except for the slight pinching sensation.

For the first few hours after the treatment, I felt like I’d gotten a bit of a sunburn – my skin was warm and red, but nothing dramatic. The next day the redness persisted, but I functioned without any problems. My skin even looked like it had caught a healthy “fresh look”. In the evening, I noticed tiny dots and slight peeling – it was just as the doctor had explained. My skin had begun to naturally shed dead skin cells. It felt like it was rebooting and gradually revealing a new, more radiant layer.

Within four days the redness was gone, my skin was smoother to the touch and looked fresher. The whole healing process was surprisingly fast and absolutely bearable – no long hiding at home, on the contrary, I felt more confident from the first days. The biggest surprise, however, came when the doctor explained to me that it wasn’t just about the visual effect. A Stanford University study (Anne Lynn S. Chang et al., Journal of Investigative Dermatology, 2013) proved that regular BBL treatments change the expression of genes in the skin, returning them to a younger setting. In other words, the skin biologically behaves younger,” emphasized Rozborilova, MD, who said that the number of repetitions is individual and depends on the patient’s skin condition.

    TREND OF NATURALNESS

The world aesthetic medicine today is changing its direction. It is moving away from crowded, frozen faces that look unnatural. The new trend is naturalness – preserving one’s own features, freshness and healthy skin. Technologies like BBL and Moxi are exactly what fulfill this trend: they don’t transform a person, but support the best of what’s in their skin. And that’s what I love.

As someone who follows beauty news on a daily basis, I can tell you that BBL and Moxi are in a completely different league. Not just another gimmick to brighten your skin, but a serious step into the future of anti-aging. After undergoing the treatment, I felt that my skin had literally undergone a reboot – and that’s just the best biohacking I can imagine.

Forever Young – I finally know how to achieve this.
