Basic information

- drooping of the corners of the mouth
Intervention
This is a minimally invasive surgery to correct a subtle sagging of the cheeks. A vertical shift is made – a pull of the soft tissues of the face with a single absorbable suture introduced into the subcutaneous tissue and minimal excision of the skin above the ear – in front of the hairline. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia.
The nasolabial groove is softened, the so-called glands are removed and the drooping of the corners of the mouth is gently improved.
Duration of the procedure
The procedure lasts from 20 to 40 minutes depending on the extent. The effect is immediate and lasts up to one and a half years.
After the procedure
After the procedure, the patient can go home immediately. An elastic face pack is needed at night for 10-14 days. The skin incision is closed with absorbable sutures.
