Issues We Can Help You With
Are you troubled by acne, hyperpigmentation, redness, skin growths, hair loss, or signs of skin aging? Select a concern and explore the diagnostic and treatment options available at the Esthetic Clinic in Bratislava.
You don’t always need to know exactly which procedure or technology you’re looking for. The important thing is to first identify the problem correctly and then choose the appropriate treatment or procedure.
At the Esthetic Clinic, we combine dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and laser medicine, which allows us to choose from a variety of options for many conditions and combine them as needed.
Acne
Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that can occur during adolescence and adulthood. It can manifest as clogged pores, inflammatory breakouts, deeper lesions, or subsequent pigmentation.
Treatment depends on the type and severity of acne. The foundation of treatment is dermatological care, which—depending on the condition of the skin—may be supplemented with professional skincare, BBL, IPL, or other methods.
Acne Scars
Inflammatory forms of acne can leave indented or uneven scars that alter the skin’s texture. The type and depth of the scars determine which treatment method is appropriate.
For acne scars, treatments such as fractional CO2 laser therapy, resurfacing, microneedle radiofrequency, or combination procedures may be used, depending on the individual case.
Pigment spots
Pigment spots and uneven skin tone may be related to sun exposure, hormonal changes, skin aging, or inflammatory processes.
Before treatment, it is important to determine the nature of the pigmentation. Based on the findings, appropriate dermatological care or laser and light therapies can then be selected.
Melasma
Melasma manifests as irregular brown or grayish-brown patches of pigmentation, most commonly on the face. Its severity can be influenced by UV radiation, hormonal factors, and other influences.
The treatment of melasma requires an individualized approach and thorough protection of the skin from UV radiation. The appropriate treatment is selected based on the type and extent of the pigmentation.
Rosacea and Facial Redness
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that can manifest as persistent redness, visible blood vessels, sensitivity, or signs of inflammation.
Treatment depends on the specific form of rosacea. It may include dermatological therapy, proper skin care, and, for certain symptoms, laser or light therapy.
Extended coils
Visible blood vessels often appear on the nose, cheeks, chin, or other parts of the face and body. They can be a cosmetic issue in and of themselves or part of another skin condition.
Depending on their nature and location, vascular laser or light-based technologies can be used to treat selected vascular conditions.
Skin growths and fibromas
Soft fibromas and other skin growths often appear on the neck, in the armpits, under the breasts, on the eyelids, or in areas subject to repeated friction.
Before removal, it is advisable to have the formation professionally assessed. Depending on its type and location, an appropriate method of removal can then be selected.
Warts
Warts are skin growths caused by a virus and can appear on the hands, feet, and other parts of the body. However, not every skin growth is a wart.
Therefore, a professional evaluation is recommended before removal. The treatment method depends on the type, size, and location of the lesion.
Signs
It is a good idea to monitor moles regularly, especially if they change in size, shape, or color, or if they start to behave differently from other skin lesions.
At the Esthetic Clinic in Bratislava, we perform dermatological examinations of moles, including digital dermatoscopy and full-body mapping using the FotoFinder system.
Hair Loss and Thinning Hair
Hair loss may be related to genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, stress, diet, medical conditions, or other factors.
Depending on the cause and condition of the hair, various treatment options can be chosen, including PRP, mesotherapy, PDRN, regenerative methods, or hair transplantation.
Wrinkles
Wrinkles are caused by a combination of facial expressions, a gradual loss of collagen and elasticity, changes in facial volume, and external factors, including UV radiation.
Depending on the type of wrinkles and the condition of the skin, botulinum toxin, biostimulation methods, dermal fillers, laser technologies, or a combination of several procedures may be used.
Sagging Skin
As collagen and elasticity gradually decrease, the skin may lose its firmness and the contours of the face, neck, or body may change.
Depending on the extent of the problem, noninvasive or minimally invasive methods aimed at stimulating collagen, firming the skin, and improving its quality may be considered.
Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
Visible pores and an uneven skin texture may be related to sebum production, acne, genetic predisposition, aging, or sun damage.
Depending on the condition of the skin, you can opt for professional skincare, resurfacing, fractional technologies, or combined treatments.
Stretch marks
Stretch marks occur when the skin’s structure changes and often appear during periods of rapid growth, weight changes, pregnancy, or hormonal changes.
It is not always possible to completely remove stretch marks, but their appearance can be improved—depending on their type and age—using methods that promote skin remodeling and collagen production.
Unwanted body hair
Unwanted facial or body hair can be permanently reduced through laser hair removal. The results and the number of treatments required depend on the area, hair type, and skin type.
Excessive sweating
Excessive sweating, medically known as hyperhidrosis, can significantly affect daily comfort. It most commonly affects the underarms, palms, or soles of the feet.
For certain forms of hyperhidrosis, botulinum toxin injections may be used to temporarily reduce excessive sweating.
Not sure which treatment you need?
You don’t need to know the name of the device, the technology, or the specific procedure. What’s important is to correctly identify the problem and determine its possible causes.
Based on a professional examination or consultation, we at the Esthetic Bratislava Clinic will recommend the appropriate next steps and treatment or care options for you.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know what kind of treatment I need?
No. If you’re not sure which method is right for your problem, start with a professional examination or consultation. A specific treatment can be recommended after assessing the problem and the current condition of your skin.
Can a single condition have more than one treatment option?
Yes. For many dermatological and cosmetic issues, there are several options available. The choice depends on the diagnosis, the extent of the problem, skin type, and other individual factors.
Can individual treatments be combined?
When indicated, the treatment plan may include a combination of several methods. A specialist will determine their order and the time intervals between them based on the specific findings.
When is a dermatological examination recommended?
A dermatological examination is particularly recommended for persistent or changing skin symptoms, acne, rosacea, pigmentary changes, moles, and before the removal of certain skin lesions.
