OPERATION

The procedure does not remove fat but melts it. We operate under local anesthesia. With aid of a thin cannula the laser fiber is inserted into the subcutaneous. The spot is treated by recommended energy. Since this is not mechanical fat removal but fat melting, the fat is being absorbed for 2- 3 months by the lymphatic system. The procedure is practically painless and the recovery is fast, physical activity is possible after a few day, one week at the most. There can be minimal bruising, it is advised to wear compression garments for at least 10 – 14 days after the operation. The risk of asymmetry in the treated area is low. After the operation we recommend lymphatic drainage (as of the second week) as accompanying treatment in order to speed up the process of absorbing the melted fat.

Always bear in mind that liposuction or other fat removal methods are some kind of body contouring, trimming of the body shape. If the patient lost weight and there are some places with remaining body fat – in most cases congenital configuration of the body (such as thicker ankles, broader shoulders, thighs, knees, fat under the chin etc.).
