DERMATOSCOPY – EXAMINATION OF SKIN LESIONS AND DIAGNOSIS DETERMINATION
Basic information
At our clinic, a dermatologist – specialist will examine your moles and determine the method of its removal.
Many people are apprehensive about having them removed due to scarring, especially if they occur on the face. Using a CO2 laser, such growths can be removed without a scalpel and the procedure leaves only minimal changes to the skin.
If the dermatologist does not determine otherwise, the mole must be removed surgically. The skin around the mole is locally numbed and then the mole is painlessly “excised” and sutured. Stitches are removed in 7-10 days and a biostimulation laser can be applied for better healing. The scar takes about 6 months to mature and the sun should be avoided during this period. The scar can be treated with a fractionated CO2 laser.
