IPL is the principle of selective phototremolysis. The generated thermal, resp. light energy is absorbed in the red dye haemoglobin, with the desired thermal damage to blood vessels occurring.  <br><br>  IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is often used to remove small blood vessels on the skin. During the procedure, pulsed light is applied to the affected area, which leads to heating of the coils and their destruction. In an IPL procedure, an intense pulsed light flash is applied to the skin. This light is absorbed by the pigments in the coils, leading to heating and destruction of the coils. The procedure may cause a slight warm or burning sensation. Prior to the procedure, you should be evaluated by a skin specialist to determine the appropriate setting for your skin. There may be temporary red skin or swelling after the procedure, which will gradually subside.
