Light of different wavelengths is absorbed by the pigment of the tattoo ink and is subsequently scattered &#8211; breaking the pigment into small particles. The damaged colour particles are removed by the skin&#8217;s immune system or peeled off together with the damaged surface cells.\n\nWith each subsequent treatment, the depth to which the laser works increases and the tattoos in the lower layers of the skin are removed. The Q-SWITCHED laser thus removes even the deepest and most problematic colour tattoos.
